If you haven’t read Audrey Niffenegger’s “The Time Traveler’s Wife”, PLEASE read it. Don’t let the title fool you. It is not some sappy Nicholas Sparks book like “The Notebook”. Barf. (I love the movie, but I refuse to read the book.)
The book recounts the powerful love story of Claire and Henry. The only catch is through a genetic mutation, Henry uncontrollably travels through time and this has serious consequences for the couple. I know what you are thinking. I hate time travel books with a passion too. Trust me when I say the book will toss all your preconceptions about the title out the window. It is equally heartbreaking and somehow relatable. Rest assured, it takes place in the current time frame, not some space-age adventure.
The movie is coming out this November starring the lovely Rachel McAdams and the sometimes-hot-sometimes-ugly Eric Bana. I am slightly apprehensive because movies have a way of ruining books as we all know. Hopefully Rachel McAdams can save it though. I have faith in that girl! And she’s Canadian!
Let me know if you get around to reading it!
totally agree with you, one of the best books I have ever read – impossibly addictive!
I just finished reading it about half an hour ago. I loved it. It left me with such a beautiful feeling! I think I just might start reading it again tomorrow.
I wouldn’t judge The Notebook without even reading the book. It is an amazing movie, but an even better book. Very unwise to dislike something while “refusing to read the book.”
Here, here about The Notebook. Great story. Well written.

It’s an interesting, amazing book. I was not sure what I was going to get, but by the end, I could not put it down. Even tho the ending was predictable, it was still a goosebump moment. . .
